Alarm filter in Alarmtemplate when parameter is in a service

Hi All,

We have a DCM with about 1000 outputs. We only want to monitor the most important ones (around 250). The other 750 do not need to be monitored.

We've created a service for those 250 outputs, with a filter to only see the output(s) for that service.

However, in the alarm window, we see all alarms from all outputs, including those we don't want to monitor.

We would therefore like to be able to see alarms only from outputs that are part of a service.

Of course, we could create a filter in the alarm window, but then the alarms would remain visible on the element.

We would ideally like to be able to create a condition in the Alarm Template that filters out alarms not used in a service.

Is it possible to set a condition in the alarm template to filter only the alarms that are available in a service?

For example, a condition like: Service Impact > 0

Or maybe there are some other solutions for this problem.

Thanks in advance

Hi Gerrit,

You can achieve this using the conditions in the alarm template.
You can define a condition to disable the alarm if the service impact is smaller than 1.

In that case, if the element is not included in any service, the element will not generate an alarm for that parameter.

Thanks for your answer. This is indeed what I was looking for.
Although it is a bit complicated this way, because I have to make a separate condition for each parameter. But since I only have five parameters to filter, it's a very practical solution.
