Alarm console displaying interface index instead of Interface Display Key [IDX]

Hi,
I've got a quick question. What would trigger DataMiner to display in an alarm the interface index instead of displaying the interface Display Key [IDX]?

This is the interface table:

This is the alarm console displaying the interface index (134938728) instead of the interface display key [IDX] (ethernet  7/12)

Thanks!

Hi Carlos,

This is just a guess, but very likely this is the result of a missing configuration in the table definition in the protocol/connector.

Can you please let us know which connector (and version) this is?

The name that is displayed in the alarm console for a table row is defined by either the display key, or the naming format.

More information on the naming format can be found here.

More information on the displaykey can be found here.

Hi Ive,

Thanks for your response and for the additional information.
This is for the Arris E6000: 1.0.0.35, this protocol driver is installed in different environments and seems to work fine.

The [IDX] not being displayed properly just happened in an environment after importing some of the E6000 elements.

Thanks, Carlos,

I did a check of the protocol, and everything seems ok there.
Can you please send a mail to techsupport@skyline.be

We’ll have to perform a more detailed investigation on this.
