Hello
I have project to get the data off an FT Technologies FT742 wind sensor. I am trying to figure out how to display the wind direction using some kind of Wind Rose. Has anyone done a weather station display before? Any suggestions?
Hi Robert,
The below example was not for the wind direction, but for the direction of an RF Antenna, but the same is applicable.
If you get the direction from the sensor in number of degrees, you can use the Rotate shape action to rotate an arrow in a visio. Make sure the center of rotation of your shape is correctly positioned.
Hi Alberto, The visual overview in DataMiner does support the gradients of Visio.
Making something like your linked picture might be some work, but not impossible.
Hi Matthijs
Thank you for your reply, yes that will do nicely. I presume you are getting the direction in degrees from your antenna rotator?
Thanks again.
Rob
Hi Rob,
I am indeed getting the position of the antenna in degrees from the antenna controller.
This looks great – but what if the weather station provides something like this?
Just linking, not adding the screenshot as the image might be subject to copyright:

I think VISIO supports gradient colouring offline, but could gradient be added also in an online VIEW?
