A user has expressed interest in alarming on the header sum values found in the header of tables. I'm aware that this is currently not possible.
Are there any plans on allowing these summated values to be alarmed against?
Hi Bing,
I believe this should already be possible:
- You could calculate the sum of your column in the driver itself and save it in a separate parameter. This way, you can leverage all benefits of having a parameter (e.g. alarming, trending, ...).
- You could also use aggregation rules which let you take the sum of a column parameter. Aggregation rules also let you configure an alarm and trend template.
Hi,
The request of the user is a new feature.
Instead of keeping the parameter values, the alarm states must be used in the calulcations.
I assume the user wants a summary/Min/Max of the alarms in a column?
For instance: SUM on Total TS Bitrate will have text "1 Cr, 1 Ma, 3 Mi".
A new feature can be requested here
Hope this helps you further
Thanks for clarifying that what is described requires a new feature Matthias.
Customer just wants to be able to define alarm thresholds on the summated value. A new feature will be requested if necessary.
Appreciate the quick response Sebastiaan.
