Retrieve hosting agent id of element through the web service

Hi,

On my DataMiner System, I have several swarmed elements and need to retrieve the hosting Agent ID of those elements through the Web Services API.

I’ve explored a few available methods but haven’t been able to determine the hosting Agent ID.

Is there a Web Services method available that can be used to retrieve the hosting Agent ID for a specific element?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Klaas,

At first glance this does not seem to be possible. Element info via the web api does not expose the hosting agent on the DMAElement object.
This should probably be a added now as it’s useful info in a swarming environment.
Seems like it would be an easy thing to add.

The only possible workaround I see is creating an alarm and then retrieving the alarm.
DMAAlarm does have the hosting agent property which is the host of the element at the time the alarm was created.
