Hello everyone,
I have a question about the refresh times of Elements in a Visio Drawing.
What we have:
The customer has a Site overview Drawing. The Drawing contains quite a few alarm states. All Visio-Elements will get their data from a single Table-Column in the DM-Element with each Visio-Element being linked to a specific Row in that Table. Additional to the alarm states there are also some "live" Temperature/Humidity data Elements. It is all quite simple with the Elements being on top of a floorplan image of the site. No grouping or anything else going on.
Now it has come to the customers attention that the Alarm-Elements in the Visio will update quite a bit quicker than the Elements displaying a value, which is not acceptable for them.
Is there a way to increase the refresh rate, or is there anything else that can be done?
Best Regards,
Robert
Hi Robert,
It's great to hear that you're making full use of the Visio integration features within DataMiner.
Based on your description, it's difficult to determine exactly what is causing the issue on the customer's side. My assumption is that the behavior is related to the way the Visio diagram was created. Therefore, I would recommend reaching out to your technical contact so they can review the diagram and advise on possible optimizations, depending on its size and complexity.
As far as I know, there is no configuration option available to adjust the refresh rate.
Kind regards,
Jarno
Correct, alarm state information, parameter values, … all come in by subscription/notification, so there is no polling or refresh rate in place generally… so like Jarno suggest, please get in touch with our techsupport, so we can look into the specifics here.
