Custom tooltip in a table – LCA

Hi Dojo,
I'd like to create a tooltip in a table that uses specific text taken from other columns in the same table. How can I do this? Thanks!

Hi Marco,

This can be done by creating a custom template for a table column. In the template, you have the option to configure a tooltip for a shape. This tooltip can be linked to other columns in the same row. More info can be found in the docs.

Hi Wout, thank you! I have another question. I can remove from the view the column 6 and/or column 7 and still view the contents in the tooltip? Thanks

Yes that is possible. It will work as long as the columns are available in the query rows that the query returns. So you will need to apply the columns you are interested in as a filter to the table, not the query.

These tooltips are available from DataMiner 10.4.0 [CU14]/10.5.0 [CU2]/10.5.5 (web) onwards.
