Configuring redundancy groups across DMAs in a DMS

Hi Dojo,

I have a couple of questions regarding redundancy group configuration.

  1. Do the elements that belong to a redundancy group need to be hosted on the same DMA, or can they be spread across different DMAs within the same DMS?

  2. When configuring a redundancy group, do I need to connect via Cube to the specific DMA hosting the elements in order to see and select them?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Catarina,

  • Elements must be on the same DMA and use the same connector in order to add them to a redundancy group.
  • A redundancy group can be created and configured from any DMA in the DMS
  • While creating a redundancy group, you will be able to select the DMA that will manage the redundancy group. This DMA must also be the same DMA that manages the elements that will be included in the redundancy group.
