Hi Dojo,

For security reasons, some DMAs needs the .NET 9 version installed. In docs, you mentioned as requirement the .NET 8 version.

Are there any issues with DataMiner if we install both versions on DMAs?

Hi Daniel,

As of writing this, nothing on the DataMiner Agent requires .NET 9 so it's not required for it to function.

That being said, if you require .NET 9 for another reason outside of DataMiner, you can install it next to .NET 8 without a problem.

Keep in mind that you cannot remove .NET 8 in favor of .NET 9. This won't work and will break certain functionality within DataMiner.

This is assuming you run a DataMiner version that requires .NET 8, as specified in the docs you linked.
