Hi Dojo,

is the DMA-ID of any relevance when we want to add a DMA to an existing cluster? I'm asking because we are wondering if the DMA-ID's need to share a certain structure or need to be part of the same pool of numbers, so to speak...

Let's say our DMS consists of the DMA-ID's 123456, 123457 & 123458 - can we just add a DMA with the ID 987654? Or does the DMA-ID of that agent needs to be altered to fit the other ID's?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Nils,

The only requirement for a DMAID in a cluster, is that it has to be unique within said cluster (unless it is part of a failover setup). Other than that, the DMAID can be pretty much any positive integer and there should be no need to alter it to add the agent in the cluster.

Hi Nils,

there should be no problem because a DMA-ID is unique worldwide.
