Alarm Console on Alarm Card undocked – how to save the configuration

Hi Dojo,

I wanted to display undocked alarm console but with multiples tabs into the same alarm console window. As done on Element, Service, View Card but on an undocked card and save this configuration using a workspace.

Create the alarm console with multiples tabs and display into them all that I want is OK, but I don’t know how I can save this configuration to display it after a Cuve Sign OUT Sign  IN.

As you can see below, I have my window with 3 alarm consoles display on 3 tabs. This is the design that I want. And I want to create like that 5 or 6 others and display them undocked on a screen. All alarms displayed on each tabs are linked to a Custom alarm filter

When I save the workspace with this configuration when I recall it, all the datas are lost. The card undocked stay present where I want but not the content.

The card undocked stay present where I want but not the content. As you can see below :

Do you have an idea how can i do that ?

Thanks a lot.

Simon

Hi Simon,

Instead of undocking the whole alarm console, you could undock each of the separate tabs (by dragging them “away” from the console), and then choose “dock to workspace”
To still have tabs, choose the “tab layout” (under account on the top right -> change layout -> tab layout).
Now you can go to workspaces, and save this configuration with a name and description you like.
Whenever you want to access this configuration, go to workspaces -> right click on the workspace with the alarms -> open workspace in undocked window.

Let me know if this is what you envisioned.

Kind regards,

Hi Bram, No it's not exaclty what I want.
I want to use as base a View card for example, undock this card and use especially the ALARMS menu of this card to exploit the benefits of the tabs into this ALARMS CARD menu.
Edit those tabs to display some custom filters and SAVE this configuration to retrieve it automatically after a sign out or disconnection.
Is it more clear ? I can't add screen shot when I use a COMMENT

Hi Simon,

I see what you mean.
I unfortunately think that's not possible at the moment.
To my knowledge, the best you can do at the moment is probably using the workspaces as I described earlier.

This is an interesting idea though.
I suggest you create a feature suggestion (https://community.dataminer.services/feature-suggestions/) and then the responsible team can pick this up if they notice there is enough interest into having this.

Unfortunately i can't use the worksapces as you discribed because I should use undocked cards because Cube is exploited in TDF in multiples screen … so the only way to use Cube on mutiple screen is to undock some cards or alarm consols

Bram Devlaminck [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 31st March 2025

Using undocked cards should not be a problem (I think) as the saved workspace can be launched as an undocked window (right-clicking on the workspace should give you this option).
You should be able to freely move this window similar to other undocked cards.

yes of course, but the content of the alarms tabs into ALARMS MENU are not saved into the workspace

Yes understood, thanks for this video.
But with this I can't create multiples undocked windows covered by one unique workspace.
My Goal is to display more than 1 window with alarm consol tabs page (between 5 and 10)

Bram Devlaminck [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 31st March 2025

Yes, that's indeed a limitation of this workaround.

As suggested earlier, I'd create a feature suggestion (https://community.dataminer.services/feature-suggestions/) as your idea is not yet achievable without these limitations (and ideally this workaround is not necessary at all).

Good luck!

Feature suggestion already done. Don't hesitate to vote 🙂

Here below the “window” arrangement that I want to save. At right two View Cards divert from their original function to display alarms but into differents windows and tabs. Using a workspace save the content of each time are not saved.
