Correlation Rules not working for Slack Alerts when Rule filter is configured by View > Protocol

Hello,

Has anyone ran into an issue when configuring a correlation rule for Slack Alerts and the rule filter is configured by View > Protocol. I started testing and got to a point where I could not trigger the alert when I change a value in the Alarm Template to Critical HI. So I changed the correlation filter condition by Element  and added each element I wanted the Correlation Rule to apply, seems that is the only way I got it to work, but based on some DOJO videos, best practice is by protocol so the rule applies to any element using the protocol (production)

Any comments greatly appreciated,

Juan

Hi Juan,

I quickly validated the correlation filter on protocol and this seems to be working fine at my end. Can you try maybe to bring your test down to a single check on protocol in your alarm filter, no grouping, no conditions, immediate evaluation and a simple action, just to see if there is not something else impacting your rule. In case that confirms the rule not working, can you verify if you have selected the correct version(s) and/or check with other protocols? If all of that is not working, we’ll have to investigate in detail on your end via a ticket (Contacting tech support | DataMiner Docs)
