What’s new in the documentation for the 10.5.3 release?

The DataMiner documentation is continuously growing and improving. That’s why from time to time we like to provide you with a summary of all things new in the DataMiner Docs.

Here’s a quick overview of the changes we’ve done to the documentation for DataMiner 10.5.3:

  • RAD (relational anomaly detection) is here, and it's rad! You can now monitor groups of parameters and easily spot when their relationships deviate from the norm. When a break in the relation is detected, RAD generates suggestion events in the Alarm Console to help you take action.
  • This release brings a host of updates to the time range component, available in Dashboards and Low-Code Apps:
    • The component has a fresh new look, redesigned for a smoother user experience. Its icon has also been updated to better reflect its functionality, making it easier to find in the list of available visualizations.
    • The brand-new Granularity setting lets you determine the level of detail required when selecting a time range. You can allow users to specify just the dates or require both dates and times.
    • You now have more control over how users can edit the time range. You can restrict editing to the calendar interface only or allow users to type directly into the input box as well.
  • The DataMiner logging page in Cube now also includes information for DataMiner Extension Modules (DxMs).
  • From now on, you can use the trigger component in a dashboard or low-code app to refresh both a query filter component and a time range component.
  • In Cube, you can now enable or disable the sound that plays when the alarm banner is shown or updated.
  • A new toggle component is now available in Dashboards and Low-Code Apps! This simple control allows you to easily enable or disable specific capabilities. It can be used to drive GQI queries, Automation scripts, and more. For example, one toggle can even trigger another, offering versatile control options.
  • SRM now supports resource availability windows, so you can define a specific period when a resource can be booked. For example, this is useful for resources that become available only after a certain date, ensuring they can be added to the system early but only included in bookings once they're ready for use.
  • When you configure user permissions in Cube, you can now copy rights from one user group to others in System Center.
  • A brand-new accent color setting is now available in Dashboards and Low-Code Apps. If a component supports an accent color, like the new toggle component, it will automatically inherit the selected color. By default, the accent color matches the app or dashboard theme, but now you have the flexibility to change it to a color of your own.

But those are not the only things we've changed recently!

  • A beginner-friendly video has been added to the Creating a new DMS on dataminer.services page that walks you through the entire process of creating a new DataMiner System.
  • Thorough instructions have been added on installing and using the DOM Viewer, a low-code app that gives you deep insight into and control over your DOM definitions and instances. It effortlessly visualizes complex relationships, making them easier to understand.
