Hi Dojo,

I’ve encountered the following notices after upgrading from 10.4.7 to 10.4.10:

– Failed renaming ‘Tools\QADeviceSimulator\FluentCommandLineParser.dll’ (cause 5 oserror 183)
– Will extract as ‘Tools\QADeviceSimulator\FluentCommandLineParser.dll.SLNew’
– Failed renaming ‘Tools\QADeviceSimulator\QADeviceSimulator.exe’ (cause 5 oserror 183)
– Will extract as ‘Tools\QADeviceSimulator\QADeviceSimulator.exe.SLNew’
– Failed renaming ‘Tools\QADeviceSimulator\Skyline.DataMiner.QA.SNMP.dll’ (cause 5 oserror 183)
– Will extract as ‘Tools\QADeviceSimulator\Skyline.DataMiner.QA.SNMP.dll.SLNew’

While notices don’t normally indicate any outstanding issues, should I disregard these ones?

Hi,

There are notices related to files used by Skyline Device Simulator. could it be that the tool was running while the upgrade was running?
These notices indeed don’t indicate issues, if there were issues they would be reported as error when upgrading.

Is there need to figure out if the simulator was running closing this and renaming the files by hand?

Hi Gerwin,

There haven’t been any changes to the Skyline Device Simulator, so the files should remain the same. I don’t think you need to worry about renaming anything manually. You can safely ignore it.
