Hello Dojo Community,
I have the following situation.
On a DMS version 10.3.9, there is an IDP (version 1.2.0-2208) with its configurations.I want to upgrade the IDP to the latest version on the same system.
I am interested in the standard procedure for this. In the documentation, I found that for systems below version 10.4.0 or 10.4.3, it is necessary to install the IDP Migration package. Does this mean that the IDP will be upgraded to the latest version and that all configurations (discovery profiles, CI types, etc.) will be preserved and usable in the latest version of the IDP?
I got fully valid disc. profiles and CI types there and I don't want to clear those...
Thank you.
Hi Matej,
As described in Installing DataMiner IDP | DataMiner Docs, to update to IDP 1.5.0, you will need to run the migration package followed by the IDP package from Catalog.
As with any IDP upgrade, all data should be preserved.
Hello João,
Thank you for your response.
Indeed, I first executed the IDP migration package (which only updates the DLLs used by IDP). After that, I performed the IDP 1.5.0 Upgrade. All configurations were preserved.
One more small update, in case someone sees this thread and has the same question. After I completed the IDP Upgrade, the installation was successful, and I wanted to verify the version under 'IDP App-> About'. However, the old version was still displayed, even though I could see that all new drivers and scripts were installed correctly. In this case, it's necessary to clear the Cube cache.
