Hi,

I’m part of quite some organizations on dataminer.services.
However, the most activity I do is mostly on 1 organization.
The organization that’s loaded in dataminer.services is always the first on in the list, but I almost never want that.

So my problem is that I would like that the organization marked as most used or as default, is loaded when I navigate to dataminer.services

Therefore, I would like to configure that organization as default. How do I do this?
Where can I set this? Or should I go to admin.dataminer.services for this configuration?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

The organization is remembered by using a cookie. If you set your browser to block cookies or clear them when closing the browser or other settings that interfere, then the last visited organization will not be remembered and the first one in the list is indeed selected.

It’s not currently possible to select a default organization, as there are no user settings being stored anywhere as of right now. You can however bookmark your favorite organization, as the URL contains the organization ID (this does not apply to the Catalog URL).

EDIT: After some more digging, it looks as though the cookie is set to expire at the end of a session, meaning closing a browser will clear the cookie regardless of other settings on a desktop. We’ll look into improving this, so that this should no longer be scoped to a session.

Kind regards,

Alexander, thanks for your response. I just read your “EDIT”.
Just before, I was checking the settings on Chrome and Edge. No cookies are blocked, no cookies cleared and no notifications blocked.
I’m looking forward to the fix ☺

It should normally remember your last selection. And that would give a good user experience. But indeed, there seems to be something wrong where it does not always remember this correctly or it forgets it… And that is a bug…

Hi,

A change has been deployed which should now store your cookie beyond a current session, remembering where you last left off even after closing the browser. You might need to hard refresh the page once to load in the new version of the app.

Kind regards,

Hard refreshed and tested it. It looks fixed to me on my side. Many thanks!
