Is there a way of moving trend groups between two DMS’?
I’m currently migrating one of the platforms we are monitoring to another DMS in our network. I’ve got all of the elements migrated by using the export/import features but I can’t see anything similar with trend groups.

As far as I know there is no built-in functionality to export/import trend groups.
A possible option could be copy the trend group definition (XML file available in C:\Skyline DataMiner\Users\SharedUserSettings\TrendFilters) in the target DMS. Please keep in mind that you will need to restart the target DMS after placing this file, otherwise you will not be able to see the trend group.
This will only work if you are performing a DELT migration of the elements that are included in the trend group.
P.S.
– If the target DMS does not have the folder ‘TrendFilters’, you will need to create one manually.

I can confirm that this works. The only difference was that this was a private trend group so i just copied it into the specific users folder. I guess the only thing to watch out in this scenario for it that usernames are a like for like match.
