Hello guys,
We have been informed that will be possible to cloud connect our 6 Dataminer cluster's with one single server using docker.
We are interested to use the DMZ option to keep secure our dataminer systems.
Someone can help me and describe how to configure the Dataminer Cloud connect pack with that configuration ? It seems not indicated into the Dataminer documentation (pity) 🙂
Thanks in advance
Hi Alexandre,
Containerized setups like this are not supported by us and I don’t think this is on our current roadmap. I’m also not aware of any user running a setup like this at the time. From a purely technical point of view, this should be possible though and you are free to try this out yourself.
Regards Louis
Hi Alex,
We also see the advantages of being able to run multiples from a single system and have already identified this as one of the areas we could improve upon. Unfortunately, this is not one of our short-term goals so I can’t say when we can start development on this. I have your interest in this conveyed to our product owner, this may help move it a bit forward in the planning.
Hi Louis,
Thanks for your answer. If it’s not really supported by Skyline we will prefer to stay with the supported method. In that case that mean that we need to get 6 VMs to have the cloud connect option for our clusters (with the dmz configuration)
Do you know if there is a plan to release a Dataminer Cloud Pack able to manage multiple clusters ? That should be probably helpfull for many customers.
Regards,
Alex
