We have some DVE elements, and I see that the DVE elements are using an old protocol as PRODUCTION protocol. How can I activate other protocol release as Production?.
In normal elements protocols are easy, just clicking in the protocol right click and se the option set as production, but in the DVE elements is not possible.
For example, see the attached pictures for the "Meinberg LANTIME Modular API V10":
The parent elements has the following protocol activated in production
Perhaps the parent element has to "send" the protocol that have to be used by the DVE element.
Thanks.
Hi Rodrigo,
DVEs should always be running as the version of the parent element, as these do not entirely exist as separate elements server-side. However, displaying the data still requires the information of the generated DVE protocols. Because "Production" is a version on its own, it is possible that the DVEs are not showing up as the right version when this version mapping has failed.
Seeing as there is a mismatch between the parent and child protocol versions, I believe the "set production version" operation on the parent element has failed to complete at some point, leaving the child protocols stuck on an older version.
Have you tried setting a different version on the parent protocol as production such as 1.0.0.6, and then switch back to version 1.0.0.7? If that fails to complete, I suggest you create a support ticket so the operations team can assist you.
Hi Floris,
“Have you tried setting a different version on the parent protocol as production such as 1.0.0.6, and then switch back to version 1.0.0.7? If that fails to complete, –> WORKS fine. Thanks
Hi Rodrigo,
according to documentation:
DVE child protocols cannot be set as production protocol.
Would it be possible to recreate DVEs after changing the version of parent protocol?
Edib,
thank you for you document link.
Hi Floris,
Thanks for your comment
I will do the test you suggested. Change the production protocol in the parent element and see what happened with the DVE element.
I will update this question with this tests information
