insufficient permissions for deploying app via dataminer.services

Hi,

when deploying an app package via dataminer.services the following error is returned for a specific user: “StatusCode: UnknownError, DebugMessage: A unknown exception occurred in CoreGateway: Did not finish app package upload because it is not allowed., DmaId: “

Are any specific permissions needed for deploying a app this way or could there be other reason why this deployment fails?

Thanks,

David

Hey, there’s a specific permission in system center to install packages. Search for ‘packages’ in the list of permissions and you should find it.

This not only governs deployments of packages from catalog, but also Automation scripts and Visio files. In the background these last two are also put in packages for deployment.

According to the user guide, you will also need the permission Modules > Automation > Execute. See https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Cloud_Platform/Catalog/Deploying_A_DataMiner_Connector_to_your_system.html.
