Riedel Smart Panel integration
2110
Riedel
Are you using Riedel’s Smart Panels for your Riedel Intercom or to control Riedel MediorNet? The panel also comes with an open NMOS-based API that allows easy integration with your DataMiner System. Use the panel as your user interface to control a DataMiner System and all infrastructure managed by DataMiner.
In this example, we are using the panel to send signal switching commands to DataMiner, which then get translated into the necessary “crosspoint” commands to control a third-party SDN controller via SWP-08 protocol.
By the way, the integration with the Riedel Smart Panel is certainly not limited to signal switching. You can find other examples in our use case section here on Dojo.
USE CASE DETAILS
XY signal switching made easy. DataMiner automatically reads all sources and destinations, including labels from any third-party controller, and puts them on multiple pages on the panel.
On the Smart Panel, you can always switch between the different Riedel apps, e.g. between DataMiner and Intercom control.
Close to zero latency signal switching in an ST2110 environment.
Our Riedel Smart Panel connector receives activities from the panel (e.g. a lever push or rotary knob) and can send back information such as a confirmed crosspoint or an alarm.
Another connector, Skyline Software Panel, is used to manage the required logic to translate the triggers received from the Riedel panel into crosspoint commands towards the IP routing system. At the same time, this connector creates a software twin of the Riedel Smart Panel.
And here is the software twin of the Riedel panel, which you can use from just about anywhere and which is always in sync with the Riedel Smart Panel.
