The Microsoft Azure connector collects metrics from your on-premises and cloud applications, giving you insights into your Azure resources.

The connector could for example collect metrics of a virtual machine, a container, or an SQL database that you can typically see inside the Azure portal.

USE CASE DETAILS

To set up the connector, you simply provide the necessary credentials on the Authentication page. The connector does the rest by discovering all your resources automatically.

The manager component of the connector gives an overview of all subscriptions in your tenant. It provides a list of your resource groups and the resources associated with each group. It also provides the details of all your resources like virtual machines, databases, disks, and more.

Each resource type like virtual machines, storage, or SQL databases is further managed by its own component in the connector. Here the metrics associated with the resource type are polled and displayed.
