Appear – Tech Partner Integrations
Appear
Have a look at this use case to see how DataMiner monitors and manages equipment from our tech partner Appear. Obviously, DataMiner monitors a broad set of cards and functions (encoders, decoders, RF, scramblers, etc.) for the Appear platform, but it also provides full control over Appear’s open APIs to manage primary and linear/OTT distribution projects as well as live event contribution and occasional-use events.

USE CASE DETAILS
This is a simple dashboard to monitor IP multicast signals and feeds received via satellite.
This DataMiner low-code app provides an easy-to-use interface to establish a connection between your DSNG and NOC. In this example, the DSNG has 4 x 1080p50 SDI signals. Select an input, and with a click of a button you can generate ST2022-7 IP multicast streams.
The NOC operator can choose between different signals, either from the DSNG or coming in via satellite, and generate the streams for the primary distribution. All this happens via an intuitive user interface, so there's no need to be a video-over-IP expert.
Here you can see an XY software router panel to select any NOC source and put it on an Appear decoder. Connections can be created ad hoc or scheduled for future execution. It's easy to operate with an "SDI-router-like" panel, although the underlying technology is all IP multicast.

Very nice use case masking the complexity of IP and costly setup of network paths using clean and intuitive dashboards.
These are very interesting demos, looking forward to try this.
this looks pretty awesome Low-Code Integration, also looking forward to see this
