The user is not known in the DataMiner System

I have a basically-new DataMiner node, the only thing I've done is connect it to DataMiner Services and associate it with my organization (for which I created a new organization). When I did this, all seemed to be working; now, a few weeks later, I find I am unable to login using the Windows account (which was previously working). Using the online portal I get the error "Not a DataMiner user: LocalAdmin". Using DataMiner Cube on the machine, I get "The user is not known in the DataMiner System." I tried to run SLReset on the server, but that has not made a difference - I presume it requires user credentials to have any real effect.

I've looked through SLErrors and SLDataminer (as well as most other logs) without any hints to the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ryan,

This could be an issue similar to this:

Local user unable to access DMA after first reboot after installation | DataMiner Docs

This first thing I would check is security.xml to see if LocalAdmin is included in the file. Do you have any Dataminer backups by any chance? You could compare the files.

Did you successfully run SLReset? If so, all users will be removed with the exception of the built-in user ‘Administrator’ account.

Thanks, this was the issue. I reinstalled DataMiner and the problem is now fixed.
Extra notes: LocalAdmin was missing from Security.xml and I did not successfully run SLReset (it requires a user/password)
