Hi,

When creating a function it need linking to an existing profile definition, what does this do in system?

We’re building a new cluster with the format of the profile definitions being different to follow a new design, but some of the functions will stay the same; will we need to update the linked profile definition to the function that we’re reusing on the new cluster?

hi Philip

Based on the profile definition, the profile parameters will be known when creating a booking. Next to that it’s used to link the PLS when applying a profile to the resource assigned to that function.

So indeed, if the new cluster has different profile definitions, those existing functions will need to reference the new definition.

Thanks Peter, that’s what I thought.
