I have shared C:\Skyline DataMiner\Logging\SRM and set the booking logging location in the booking manager to that network share on the DMA, so I can now access the logs from any client, but the log files have now stopped being created. Does SRM use this location to save the logs to and I need to add some extra write access, or is there another issue going on here?
Philip,
Can you confirm you've set the Network path in the booking manager (and not the local path) ?
Can you connect (RDP or locally ) on the windows server hosting DMA and make sure you can access the path ? It can be Windows will prompt for credentials and will then store them.
If multiple agents are present in the cluster , it will be required to do this for each of them.
I can access the share from my laptop, but can’t get to the share path on the server that I’ve set the share up on.
we had exactly same problem with an internal server, and we’ve created the share again to ‘solve’ the problem.
Thanks Emmanuel, repointing to a share the server could access resolved the issue
Hi Emmanuel,
Yes I’ve set the booking logging location parameter to backslash backslash ‘server name’ backslash SRM backslash
