I have created a solution connector with alarm and trend templates. Is it possible to set these alarm and trend templates as default templates for this solution connector? This way, if I create an element using this protocol, these templates will also be available.
One method I found involves placing these template XML files into the default template folder, renaming the files as mentioned in the about.md and readme.txt files, and then publishing them into the agent with DIS. However, this approach is not working. Are there any other alternatives available, or am I missing something?

We’ve reviewed this and identified it as a missing functionality in the current DevOps tools for connectors. Our legacy internal tooling included this feature, which is why the documentation and folders are present in the connector solution template in Visual Studio.
At the moment, there’s no viable alternative for the wider community using the DevOps tools, other than manually installing the templates afterward. Given the importance of this, we’ve prioritized it and will aim to add this functionality in the next few weeks.
