Hi all, I see a couple of resources pools and resources on a user's Dataminer deployment and would like to better understand:
- How they were created? (i.e.: were they automatically generated via a wizard)
- What is their purpose?
e.g.:
PA_IDP.SLC IDP Reapply CI Type > SLC IDP Reapply CI Type
PA_IDP.SLC IDP Reapply CI Type > SRM_Pool_PA_IDP.SLC IDP Reapply CI Type_Resource
PA_IDP.SLC IDP Provision Element > SLC IDP Provision Element
PA_IDP.SLC IDP Provision Element > SRM_Pool_PA_IDP.SLC IDP Provision Element_Resource
Essentially all:
- Resource pools with prefix "PA_IDP.SLC IDP"
- Resources with prefix "SLC IDP"
- Resources with prefix "SRM_Pool_PA_IDP."

Hi Bing,
These resources are created by the IDP solution, so they are created by the IDP installer script.
All resource pools with the prefix "PA_IDP" are used by the IDP Booking Manager using the virtual platform "PA_IDP". The remaining part of the name corresponds to the function name. The virtual platform is a way to group multiple components into a single domain so that the Booking Manager only manages the SLC IDP resources.
Regarding the resources with the prefix "SRM_Pool", this means that they represent "pool resources". They group all resources within a given pool. If such a resource is selected, the user does not need to worry about managing a specific resource. That is handled by the "Skyline Queue Manager" PA connector.
I.e., When a token starts being processed for a service definition node using that resource, the pool resource will be swapped, and the PA solution will select an available resource from that pool until that token is completed.
I hope this helps,
