Thanks for sharing some extra details about you're use case offline.

Since the profile instance would need to be applied to multiple IRDs you have, it's indeed not possible the define it dynamically in the instance. The automation script you'll create - to apply the profile - could however lookup the output of the IRD in the matrix. To achieve this, you can provide the IRD as an input argument, next to the profile instance you'll apply.

Later on, when moving the orchestration to SRM, the configuration of the matrix should then be removed from the script. But details for that can later be decided during design of course.
