After making some changes to the Analytics settings through System Center, we see these are initally getting applied. After a while though, they all revert back to Enabled=True.
Any idea why this is happening?
Is there an alternative way (file, call, …) to change the settings?

The first idea that pops into my mind is the following:
If you have a cluster running more than one agent and has Elastic activated.
Then it might be that one of the agents isn’t configured correct yet to accommodate Elastic.
When you connect to an agent that does have the configuration correct with Cube, you will see all options that only can be used when Elastic is available.
If you apply a change in the configuration, the analytics processes of all the agents will check if the new configuration you try to apply is possible.
If for one (or even more) agents the configuration isn’t possible due to elastic configuration being wrong on said agent, then the agent will revert the configuration back to the original state.
The configuration is synchronized cluster-wide. This will mean that the Elastic enabled agents also revert back.
Thanks, that makes sense. Noticed that indeed some agents do not have an IndexConfiguration.xml file, while others do.
