Mediation Layer: how to migrate to a different Mediation Layer connector?

Suppose you have the following situation :

Skyline Mediation Layer protocol K --> Device A, Device B, Device C, ...  + a dashboard that refers to this Skyline Mediation Layer protocol K.

Now you created a different Mediation Layer L, specific for this customer.

Should I first remove the Skyline Mediation Layer K protocol, and then add the Customer-specific Mediation Layer L, or is there no problem in having 2 Mediation Layer protocols for the same devices simultaneously on the server?
At which point in the migration should I adjust the Dashboard?
At the very beginning?

I tried it myself, and found the answer.
Apparently you can have multiple Mediation Layer Drivers on the same system, you can then select the one you want.
To add a new Mediation Layer driver version you need to put it as a production version.
