Is the Alarm/Trend template on a base protocol inherited from the device protocol?

For example, these two parameter have alarming and trending enabled on the device protocol:

When switching to the mediation layer the correspondent base alarm parameter shows the parameter in green so it seems to know the alarm template:

For the trend it show the icon of trending enabled but when clicking on it, the graph is empty:

Indeed, the monitored state next to the parameter (when using the mediation layer view) is defined by the underlying alarm template.

I would also expect that the trending can be viewed through the mediation layer view. So, at first sight this seems to be an issue.
