Legacy Reports and Dashboards going end of life from 10.4 onwards

Hello Dojo,

I know that from DataMiner version 10.4 onwards, legacy Report&Dashboards are End Of Life. I also know it is possible to maintain this module working using the soft-launch feature, as it is described in the following docs page:  Upgrade fails because of VerifyNoLegacyReportsDashboards.dll prerequisite | DataMiner Docs.

However, I would like to double check which functionalities are available using this soft-launch?

Can we create new reports if necessary or just keep the current ones? Will the reports still work on an automation, on an email or Visio? To sum up, will any functionality be disabled or can we use it as before with the soft-launch enabled?

Thanks in advance for confirming and double-checking this!

When enabling the soft-launch flag of the legacy Reports & Dashboards, then these modules are again fully available, no functionality is disabled. Creating new legacy reports, legacy dashboards, etc is possible. These can also be used within automation, scheduler, Visio, etc.

Note however that we do not recommend this. In future major versions of DataMiner the legacy Reports & Dashboards might not be included anymore.
