Enhancement of Reapplying a service through a Service template

Hello Sykline,

I wanted to bring to your attention an issue we've been encountering with the reapplication of services through service templates. When we need to modify the settings, we have to go through each parameter individually, which is quite cumbersome, especially when only one parameter value can to be updated at once. The user has to click numerous times on "Apply" to move to the next parameter, and once we jump to the next one, there's no way to go back to the previously entered values. This lack of flexibility hinders our ability to work directly on Dataminer efficiently.

As workaround we are exporting the service template to a CSV file, making the necessary edits in Excel, and then reimporting it. However, this approach is also time-consuming when it comes to editing just one value.

We would greatly appreciate any improvements that could be made to streamline this process. Your support in resolving this issue would be invaluable to us.

Best regards,

Gilberto Alves

Hi Gilberto,

Thank you for sharing your experience with reapplying services through service templates.
I understand how having to update parameters one by one and not being able to revisit previous values can be frustrating and time-consuming.

This seems more like a feature enhancement request rather than an issue or question. To address this, I’ve created a feature suggestion for it in here: [Enhancement] Reapplying a service through a Service template – DataMiner Dojo. Feel free to upvote and add any additional details. This helps prioritize improvements based on user feedback.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or if there’s anything else I can assist you with.

Best regards,
Luís Freitas
