DVE Hidden option

Hi,

Based on this:
Options overview | DataMiner Docs

Is this a good method to individually enable/disable a DVE in a connector?

  1. How does hiding the DVE work - does it still count as an element on the DMA?
  2. When toggling the DVE, does it create/destroy the element each time - this could affect the alarming and trending if the templates are on the DVEs

Hi Joshua,

Hiding a DVE element will remove it from view in the Surveyor, but the element itself still exists and continues to count toward the element limit of the license. Since the element is not created or destroyed during this process, its Element ID remains unchanged. As a result, alarming and trending are not affected.
