Hi Dojo,
We are collecting information about Elasticsearch and DM integration and we have several doubts:
- Do we need any additional license for the Elasticsearch installation?
- What is the best installation method? As I understand, local installations can be done through the “Search & Indexing” tab but for remote, the DB.xml y DBConfiguration.xml files must be edited. That´s right?
- Do you recommend install it in the same host than DMA or in separated physical or virtual machines?
- Do you recommend Win or Linux?
I hope this questions are not already answered, thanks in advance!

Following information might help.
Elasticsearch comes under elastic license, and it's free to use. There was an interesting event for Elasticsearch earlier in the year, so they have changed their licenses and you can see the details at FAQ on 2021 License Change | Elastic .
Installation through search and indexing is the option, however I suggest work with the TAM and Skyline as they are other ways of installing and configuring the Elasticsearch. For the remote or separate Elasticsearch installation, you can use the tool available at https://community.dataminer.services/documentation/standalone-elasticsearch-cluster-installer/ .
There are different deployment architectures that we recommend and you will find all these setups at Elasticsearch setup - DataMiner Dojo . As you can see at DataMiner Compute Requirements - DataMiner Dojo , you can install the Elasticsearch on Windows or Linux OS. This is completely user's choice.
Do search for Elasticsearch under the questions and also on Dojo for more details on the different topics.
Thanks
Thanks a lot Srikanth, this info is very helpful.
