Hello!
I passed the three stages of DataMiner Training courses and received the related certificates a while ago. As I work with DataMiner on a per project basis only I checked their validity and noted, that all of them are expired. Is there a chance to renew the certificates even after they are expired. I just found the option to renew before expiring in Dojo.
Thanks in advance
Hi André
We now make a distinct between a certificate of attendance (that's probably what you have) and a certificate of expertise.
A certificate of attendance is what you receive when following a complete DataMiner training course (in Skyline HQ or on-site at your premises).
A certificate of expertise is a what you receive when you pass the entire certification process, including an oral exam. Once you pass the exam you receive a certificate that expires after 2 years and which can be renewed via an extra examination.

Renewal of your certificate of attendance can only be done by joining a new official training session. It’s ‘only’ a proof that you joined a training session. But you’re right, all video material from our standard DataMiner trainings is available on Dojo. By watching them your certificate of attendance is not renewed.
Renewal of a certificate of expertise is indeed something to order and can only be done if you obtained your certificate of expertise already. Also an order need to be placed for obtaining a certificate of expertise. Obtaining and renewal of a certificate of expertise is via examination. This certificate is a ‘proof’ that you’re a real expert in a certain domain related to DataMiner.
Hi Jochen,
many thanks for the feedback!
I indeed got a kind of”certificate of attendance”, when I visited Skyline HQ for the training in 09/2016. I did a renewal online in 05/2018 and received new certificates. These finally expired in 05/2020.
Just for my understanding: I would have to order the extra examination to renew them or is this available online as well?
Many thanks again!
