Discover Tip for UNKNOW devices in NMS / Meinberg

When you launch the discover process, you can find that the devices are “unknow” devices . This a problem with the API release check

When the system discovers the devices are marked as UNKNOW.

In the Advanced options are the following conditions

With these conditions we can manage LTOS devices with API release up to 16.x so if you have a LTOS release, for example 7.08.14 has the API 17 so you must modify the CITYPE in discovery

Now launch again the Discovery process and you can see the devices

We hope that this TIP will be usefull for another issues, and will be solved in the future relase from the Skyline Team Support

Hi Rodrigo,

Discovering a Meinberg LANTIME device running API version 17 is indeed currently not possible with the CI types included in the latest mbgNMS 1.3.0 package. Adding the proposed condition is the correct fix. It will be included in the next release of the mbgNMS package (version 1.3.1) end of September.
