Confirm Multiple Set Dialog Shows Index Instead of Display Key – Can It Show Display Keys?

Hello,

I am wondering, in the Confirm Multiple Set dialog within DataMiner, the parameter changes are currently displayed using the parameter index rather than the display key.

Is this the expected/desired behavior, or should the dialog ideally show the display keys for better readability?

Additionally, is there a way to make the confirmation dialog show display keys instead of indices when multiple parameters are being set?

I’m looking for clarification on:

  • Whether showing the index is the intended/default behavior

  • Whether this can be configured to show display keys

  • If there is any recommended or supported approach for improving clarity in this confirmation window

Hi Tajana,

Currently, that popup indeed shows the primary key instead of the display key. This is the default and expected behavior, and at the moment it is not possible to override this behavior from within a connector.

You’re right that in many (if not most) cases, showing the display column would improve readability and overall user experience in this confirmation popup.

Would propose to submit a new feature request to improve this in a future release of DataMiner.

Kind regards,

Tom
