I would like to host an event but participants need to reserve seats/Rooms/facilities for the event.
Don't need to do any configuration on those things, so I'm gueesing this is the
Resource Scheduling | DataMiner Docs
use case.
My question: is their a visio or low code app that allows me to quicky create a booking with a start and end time and select resources that I want to include in the booking?

You can use the SRM Use cases demo package from the catalog.
This will install everything you need to get started with Resource Scheduling ( and optionally Resource Orchestration and Resource Automation) : view, Visio , Elements, Resources,...
This will be based on Camera Resources. However, with few tweaks , you can easily re-use that setup to book other resources.
If you want to make use of other type of resources (seats, rooms, facilities, ..) , just provision them using the Resources App and link them all to a dummy Element. As soon as you move that dummy Element to the View created during the installation ( SRM Use Cases demo), you're good to go.
I'm aware about other internal initiatives to have Resource Scheduling out of the shelve available; however I don't think there are packages already available in the catalog.
