How can I estimate my data consumption needs?
There is no definitive answer to this question, as data usage varies depending on how you use the service. However, you can get a rough idea by considering some of the factors that affect data usage, such as:
- Number of shares: the total number of active shares. A share is active from the moment it is created until it is deleted.
- Number of recipients: number of different people that you share with across all your shares.
- Sessions: This is the number of times that a recipient opens a share. Each session lasts up to 30 minutes. If a share remains open for more than 30 minutes, a new session is counted.
To help you estimate your data usage, here are some examples of different levels of usage:
- Occasional usage: You share your dashboards once every business day. You have 10 concurrent shares, 20 unique recipients, and 400 sessions per month. Your estimated data usage is 2 GB per month.
- Regular usage: You share your dashboards twice every business day. You have 25 concurrent shares, 50 unique recipients, and 2500 sessions per month. Your estimated data usage is 10 GB per month.
- Intesive usage: Shared dashboards are used actively during the week. You have 100 concurrent shares, 200 unique recipients, and 15000 sessions per month. Your estimated data usage is 50 GB per month.
