This use case demonstrates how our Appear General (XC5000/XC5100) connector can be used with the IP Input & Output (ipswitch) and Descrambler (am_ci) modules in the Appear General (XC5000/XC5100) chassis. USE CASE DETAILS
The 'General' page contains an overview of all the cards inserted in the chassis. The table parameter “DVE Creation” enables you to configure whether the connector needs to create a Dynamic Virtual Element (DVE) per card in the chassis. Via the “Credentials” page button, you can configure the username and password to communicate with the chassis.
The “General Polling Activate” page provides a list of all the API modules that can be retrieved from the chassis. This list enables you to easily configure what this element should or shouldn’t poll from the device.
The “Polling Config” page lists a series of polling configuration parameters. You can use these parameters to configure the rate at which the element retrieves information.
On the "Alarm” page, you can find a list of all the current active alarms (including system alarms and alarms from each module), as well as an overview of the alarm history information, which is configurable.
The "Import/Export" page allows you to save the current device configuration to any given location and restore your configurations.
The "Output Services Configuration" page shows an overview of the output service settings per output configured on the system. You can add or edit a service and configure the PSI and TS information.
On the "Input Status" page, you'll find an overivew of the current bitrate statistics of all the IP input modules in the chassis. These statistics include the overall transport stream rate, the CC error count, and the round trip delay sequence errors. The "Input PID Table" lists all the PIDs that are present in the incoming streams, with additional information like their bitrate, type, and CC error count.
The "Input IP" page provides all the IP input configuration data from the chassis. You can change the configuration of each input and retrieve current statistics, like the active and total bitrates.
On the “Input Services” page, you can find an overview of all input services from the configured input streams. This list contains the incoming service ID, name, IP addresses, and PID information.
The “Output Status” shows an overview of the total and effective bitrates per configured output on the output modules.
The “Output IP” page displays the IP output configurations and their current configured values.
On the “Output Services” page, you can find a list of all outgoing services with their service name, ID, IP address, and optional ASI or descrambler data.
The “CAM” page gives an overview of all Conditional Access Module configurations, including the ingoing and outgoing bitrates per slot.
