About Itochu Cable Systems
Itochu Cable Systems Corp. (ICS) was founded in 1986 as a cable TV-related subsidiary of ITOCHU Corporation, one of the Japanese trading giants. ICS provides multi-vendor products and solutions and acts as a system integrator for cable TV companies, terrestrial and satellite broadcasters, video distribution providers, and telecom carriers.
On October 1, 2016, ICS merged with its subsidiary, Hoei Sangyo Co., Ltd, which took advantage of the sales channel to terrestrial broadcasters, contents production companies and film companies. This marked the start of the “newborn” ICS.
We aim to be the leading system integrator in the business fields of broadcast, telecommunication and audio. We are committed to continuously enhance our ability to make proposals for providing the latest technology products, systems and reliable services to our customers.

Initiatives
At VidMeet - Discussing the Transition from SDI to IP
VidMeet, established in 2017, is a series of conferences in Japan that focuses on the transition from SDI to IP. Its aim is to share knowledge, organize prove of concepts, arrange workshops and initiate discussion among broadcasting and network engineers. Itochu Cable System has already participated in several events together with Skyline Communications.

At InterBee Trade Show - The Key Trade Show for Broadcast and Media

Live IP prove of concepts for Japan's public broadcaster NHK
For Japan's public broadcasting organization NHK, we created a series of multi-venue and multi-vendor all-IP prove of concepts about SMPTE ST-2110 and NMOS. For this project, we implemented DataMiner to monitor and control network infrastructure, media edge devices and PTP timing.
PTP App for QVC Japan, a multimedia retail giant
Together with Skyline, we have expanded QVC's DataMiner platform with the DataMiner PTP app. The app monitors QVC's PTP ecosystem, starting from the PTP grandmaster across all QVC's PTP boundary clocks up to their PTP slave nodes.
