Retrieving data from named table columns in GQI

Hi community,

In my GQI code, I currently read an element's table using positional column indexes:

var element = dms.GetElement("FleetOps Collector BMW");
var table = element.GetTable(10000000);
var rows = table.GetRows();

// Currently mapping telemetry values by column index:
Model = row[16]?.ToString();
Connectivity = row[22]?.ToString();
Request = row[23]?.ToString();

Because the element is generated via the Data API, the sequence of parameters in the JSON payload can change column positions and this breaks hardcoded array indexes.

In Automation scripts, we can resolve parameters by name and primary key using the Engine object:

var element = engine.FindElement("FleetOps Collector BMW");
var value = element.GetParameterByPrimaryKey("Connectivity (Vehicle Info)", vin);

Is there a supported way to use the DataMiner System Library like in the Automation scripts? Or do we need to fall back on SLNetMessages

Thanks!

There is a Ad Hoc Data Source that was created for this exact use-case.

It's running in production for all of our QAOps platform.

https://catalog.dataminer.services/details/1e37d8ab-3f41-480e-9b0b-804b2932d312

I suggest using that, it includes live updates and will efficiently handle basic Filters & sorting in your GQI Queries without losing live updates;

However, be aware that when you try to Join with other tables you'll lose live updates.
