Documentation Wrapped 2024

Documentation Wrapped 2024

2024 was a great year for the Skyline Documentation team! The DataMiner documentation continues to grow, thanks to invaluable contributions from our content experts throughout the year. In this blog post, we’ll recap some of our key accomplishments.

In 2023, nearly 20,000 active users visited docs.dataminer.services from around the globe—a number we were already very proud of. Imagine our delight when, in 2024, over 60,000 active users found their way to our documentation. Once again, these visitors came from all corners of the world. 🌍

Here are some other highlights from 2024:

  • Over 450 updates were made to the connector documentation this year.
  • As your go-to source for everything new in DataMiner releases, our release notes section saw more than 1,800 release notes added this year. 🤯
  • Our tutorials section, though relatively new, has been highly active. No fewer than 44 tutorials were released in 2024, featuring clear step-by-step instructions, detailed screenshots, and interactive exercises that earned participants DevOps Points.
  • Over 8,200 commits were made to DataMiner Docs, with around 4,700 files changed and more than 1,500 pull requests merged!
You can even spot the dip in activity when most contributors enjoyed their winter holidays. 😉❄️
  • Collaboration was at the heart of our success, with nearly 90 contributors making changes to the documentation on GitHub.
  • Another noteworthy accomplishment was the awarding of over 86,000 DevOps Points to members of the DevOps Professional Program for their contributions to the documentation. A special thanks to our top contributors: Pedro Debevere, Jordy Ampe, and Michiel Oda. Your hard work didn’t go unnoticed!

Thank you for being part of our journey in 2024. We can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring!
