To date, TIM has a complex and articulated infrastructure, geographically dispersed across different points, utilizing several devices from different vendors.
The need therefore arises to monitor the entire chain of devices, implementing a cohesive alarm and control system that allows for efficient fault tracing.
USE CASE DETAILS
The operator can address faults from both a site and service perspective.
The operator can navigate to the affected site and locate the impacted device(s).
The core of the video infrastructure relies on a 288x288 Utah matrix for managing most of the live channels. Through a customized router panel, TIM has established a user-friendly interface with distinct levels: 1. The first level addresses service delivery impacts.
2. The second level focuses on monitoring.
By selecting the service level, the operator can track the real-time flow of each live channel, easily pinpointing the root cause when an issue occurs.
DataMiner's added value lies in providing coherence to all devices in the field, accessible with a single click. This simplifies daily operations, eliminating the need to consult complex diagrams, notes, or proprietary web interfaces/software every time.
Clicking each graphical element provides the operator with the status of key parameters in the contribution flow, ensuring end-to-end monitoring from the electrical/optical converter to the CDN.
