In this use case, a content provider sends files to an operator to process these into all chains of their MAM platform, CMS and transcoding.
The operator needs to make sure that all of the files are available, and that they are not corrupted.
The workflows start when a new file is received:
- First we need to understand what type of file is received, and whether it is needed for the current process. Storage availabilities must be checked, and the file must be moved to a back-up location.
- Then the files must be manipulated. For example, a poster file (JPEG) must be sent to Dalet for resizing. For an XML file, depending on the type of file, the information needs to be parsed according to the asset requirements (mpeg4, subtitles, audio), or the synopsis must be validated, content warnings must be added, etc. Materials must then be extracted according to information received in the XML.
- Finally, when all files are available for the asset, they need to be copied into a Capella folder for transcoding.
