The DataMiner CityOps Water Management module provides full visibility of a city’s water infrastructure, enabling continuous monitoring, leak detection, and asset control. It is fully integrated with DataMiner CityOps Asset Management, Planned Maintenance, Work Orders, and Ticketing for Incidents, creating a connected operational ecosystem. This ensures that every detected issue automatically triggers maintenance tasks, assigns work orders, and tracks resolution status from detection to completion.

The system helps cities manage distribution networks, monitor meter performance, and optimize operations across defined zones for improved service reliability and sustainability.

USE CASE DETAILS

Network overview

This map view offers a real-time visualization of the entire water distribution network. Each meter and connection is color-coded by type and status, allowing quick detection of issues or inefficiencies. The display supports zone-based filtering, enabling focused supervision and maintenance scheduling per district or operational zone.

Performance statistics

The Statistics page provides an at-a-glance summary of operational health, including total households, meter coverage, and leak percentages. Visual charts display coverage areas, meter installations per year, and network performance by diameter category. These insights support data-driven planning and help optimize resource allocation and future expansion.

Leak detection

An advanced detection layer continuously analyzes flow data to identify leaks and pinpoint their exact locations. Each detected leak automatically creates an incident in the Ticketing module, generating a Work Order in coordination with Planned Maintenance. Operators can view live metrics such as flow loss, leak rate, and loss percentage to prioritize interventions efficiently.

Asset management

The asset list provides detailed visibility into all water meters, households, and connections, showing installation data, pressure levels, and leak status. Integration with DataMiner CityOps Asset Management ensures complete lifecycle tracking, linking field devices with warranty data, maintenance records, and predictive health indicators for proactive service planning.

Configuration and network expansion

This configuration interface allows operators to seamlessly add new households, install meters, and establish new connections within the network. The setup directly updates related asset records and automatically aligns new installations with maintenance and work order schedules, ensuring smooth integration of infrastructure updates across all connected CityOps modules.
